Who is responsible

I’m Francesco Bruno, based in Switzerland, and I am responsible for the personal data I collect through this portfolio. For privacy questions or requests, contact me and mention privacy in your message.

When you send a message

The contact form asks for your name, email address and message. It sends these directly to Web3Forms, which processes the submission and delivers it to my email so I can respond. Only include information relevant to your enquiry.

Web3Forms also processes technical information such as IP addresses and may use spam-prevention providers. Its published policy describes submission retention of up to three years, unless a shorter period applies or the data is deleted earlier. See the Web3Forms privacy policy.

I use your message to handle your request and keep relevant correspondence. I retain it only for as long as needed for that purpose or to meet applicable legal obligations. The portfolio itself does not maintain a database of contact submissions.

Visits and performance

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and Vercel Speed Insights to measure loading and responsiveness. These services receive page addresses and technical information such as browser, device and approximate location; analytics may also include the referring page. They are not used here for advertising.

Vercel describes its analytics as cookie-free, with visitor-session identifiers discarded after 24 hours. Performance measurements are not tied to individual visitors. Details are available in the Web Analytics documentation and Speed Insights documentation. Ordinary hosting and delivery requests may also produce security and operational logs containing an IP address, requested URL and time.

Preferences and interactive projects

The theme control writes a light or dark value to your browser’s local storage. You can remove it by clearing this site’s browser data. This is separate from analytics, and no account or advertising cookies are set by the portfolio’s own code.

The piano, rhythm sequencer and robot simulation run in your browser. Their controls do not record your microphone or send your notes, patterns or robot targets to a server.

Service providers and international processing

Contact delivery and site measurement use third-party services, so processing can take place outside Switzerland. Web3Forms operates from India and lists infrastructure and spam-filtering providers in Germany, Finland, the United States and other regions. Its data processing agreement describes these providers and contractual transfer safeguards.

Vercel describes processing in the United States and other countries, using safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and the Swiss–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable. See its privacy notice for current details.

Links to services such as GitHub and LinkedIn take you to websites with their own privacy practices. Some skill icons are delivered through an external image service; other portfolio media is served with the site.

Your choices and rights

You can browse the portfolio without submitting the contact form. You may request information about your personal data, correction of inaccurate information or deletion where applicable. Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing or receive a copy of your data. I may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Contact me to exercise these rights. You can also raise a concern with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or another competent data-protection authority.
